Pikaponim, or notes (in hebrew: "Pitkiot"), is a social game in which a certain number of teams must reveal to each other the names of famous figures written on notes, first by verbal cues, then by pantomime, and then by one word only. After each round, the participants write down the number of notes each team succeed in identifying.
At the beginning of the game, each participant writes down the names of famous characters (usually four characters in four notes) from all aspects of life, both real and fictional (usually only names familiar to all participants). The participants then divide into competing teams. Each round starts with one team playing, each team has one minute to play, untill the turn is over and the next team gets to play. In each turn, the team that is playing has to pick a team member that takes the note, see what it says, and try to reveal the name to his team-mates, if succeed, the note is counted as a point, and the player can take another note (in the remaining minute).
In the first round, one participant of the playing team try revealing the names on the notes to his fellow team memebers using verbal cues. There is no restriction on the verbal cues, apart from using the name itself, or using the a similar name/ rhyme (for example, if a note says Puff Daddy, you cannot say P Dee dee)
In the second round, one participant of the playing team try revealing the names on the notes through pantomime. In this round of the game, the participant is prohibited from uttering a word, and he must pass the name of the character (which is already known to all participants after being exposed in the previous round) by means of movements only. The participant is allowed to walk around the room and make any movement that comes to his head that may, in his opinion, hint at the identity of the character, as long as he does not say anything.
In the third round, one participant of the playing team try revealing the names on the notes with only one word. Once the word has been spoken, it can not be replaced and remains the only way for the participant to transfer the identity of the character until the allotted time. The participant is allowed to say the word in any way he wants: while singing, imitating the character and more.
After the third round is over, all teams count all the notes they identified in the first, second and third round. The team with the most notes, wins!
This game was coded in Javascript, html, css, as a side project while developing using Bootstrap,
